About the Role
The Facilitator is responsible for designing and delivering high-quality academic instruction while integrating nature-based, experiential learning. This role combines strong instructional leadership, classroom management, curriculum development, and family collaboration. The Lead Teacher serves as both an educator and a model of our school’s mission, values, and culture.
Requirements
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
Experience teaching elementary-age students (or relevant grade level).
Strong classroom management and instructional skills.
Ability to work independently in a small-school setting.
Willingness and enthusiasm for teaching outdoors.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Pass background check and fingerprinting.
Preferred
Valid state teaching certification.
Experience in:
Nature-based or outdoor education
Project-based or experiential learning
Multi-age classrooms
Montessori, Waldorf, or inquiry-based education
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
